Meanwhile at Jedburger Academy

Don't worry I ain't forgot

I ain't as dumb as I look.

Don't forget Castro was a monster

Fidel Castro entered Havana on January 8, 1959, to wild acclaim from all quarters. Most Cubans were jubilant; Castro was promising an end to the corrupt governments that had plagued Cuba since independence. Far from any Communism, Castro was promising a revolution "as green as Cuba's palm trees!" with national elections in three months. Private property would be secure, a free press guaranteed, friendly relations with the U.S. were essential.

"Fidel esta es tu casa!" read impromptu signs that were springing up across the front of thousands of Cuban homes, including mansions, humble country shacks and everything in between.

The New York Times had been singing Castro's praises since the first interview with him as a rebel in February 1957. By now most of the international press had joined the cheerleading.

All the usual suspects were in play just like today.
RTWT you'll see our favorite phrase "Social Justice".
If you've got SJ it's gonna be a bad time.
Fake news ain't no new phenomenon.
Like I said I've been woke about commies all my life.

I guess "facts" like fat causes heart diesease

Or Agent Orange was a harmless defoliant.
And myriad other facts we get from the gubmint are sacrosanct.

The war on facts is a war against democracy

A disturbing pattern seems to be emerging. Facts, and the pursuit of facts, don’t seem to matter to this White House. Or, worse yet, they matter a lot and are being suppressed.
“Fact checking” the Trump campaign was always a surreal exercise, but we all knew that he came from the world of entertainment, and that shoot-from-the-hip, I-say-what-I-think style was part of his charm, part of his brand. People fed up with regular politicians loved his brash style. It was refreshing to many.
But now that Mr. Trump is in power, this is no longer about ratings and entertaining television. It’s about ensuring the fundamental legitimacy and credibility of the world’s most powerful office. If we can’t trust the “facts” being discussed in the White House, what can we trust?
Ultimately, a healthy democracy depends on science. The pursuit of truth, having an informed citizenry, and the free and open exchange of ideas are all cornerstones of our democracy. That’s one thing that always made America truly great—the fact that, when all is said and done, evidence and the truth would always win the day in America. Without that, we join the league of ordinary nations.
And even if you aren’t worried about factual evidence, the veracity of our leaders, or the independence of science from political interference, I would urge you to look a little farther down the slippery slope. If facts don’t matter to the White House, especially when they’re inconvenient, what’s next? Laws?
Let me be clear: This isn’t a partisan thing. Scientists aren’t—and shouldn’t be!—worried about which political party is in power. It rarely mattered: There has always been a long tradition of bipartisan support for science and a fact-based world view. In fact, the Union of Concerned Scientists has ranked both Republican and Democratic presidents as being exceptional supporters of science, ranging from Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, and George H.W. Bush.
Wise leaders, of both parties, have always recognized the value of independent science to our democracy.

Lighten up Francis.
You notice no caterwauling about "If you like your doctor" or "Bending the cost curve down" or low fat diets are optimal.
Nothing about "We have to pass the bill for you to find out what's in it"
Plus it just so happens all his paragons of scientific inquiry are assholes and I dislike the lot of em.
Couldn't he just do his science quietly like on a window ledge or something.
Who checks the fact checkers asshole.
If there is truly worthy science it will get done.
I'd actually prefer the gubmint stand down from all further study taking.
For the plain reason they're always wrong.
Where was this asshole the last 8 years.
Too bad his mom didn't think he was just a blob of inert cells and abort his dumb ass.
That is all.

Trump slams McCain,Graham "Stop trying to start WWIII

President Trump decided to let them have it...

More mush from the wimps.
Their statement reads like it was written by the former commie-in -chief.
I'm really starting to get a mancrush on the Prezzy.
The Bobbsey twins are on the wrong side of every important issue.
Couldn't they do the honorable thing and become demorats already.
Oops sorry you have to have honor in the first place to do that.
Exit question.
If the vast majority of muslims are against isis/al qaeda and all the other sundry 7th century dirtbags. Couldn't they you know wipe them out themselves?
I think we all know the answer to that query.
That is all.

GOP readies cuts to federal workforce under Trump

For years, Republicans in Congress have been eyeing an overhaul of the federal workforce — by reducing the number of workers and curtailing benefits and pay while making it easier to fire bad employees.
Now, with a president-elect who has promised to do much the same, 2017 could be the best time in recent memory to make sweeping changes affecting those who work for the bureaucracy.
One major plan is being readied by Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The Utah Republican calls it “high on our agenda.” While details remain sketchy, it would likely mean big changes to the generous retirement benefits given federal workers, mainly by looking to shift new employees from a defined benefit into a market-based 401(k).
He is also interested in making it easier to fire workers who perform badly and wants to reduce the federal civilian workforce, which currently numbers 2.1 million employees, not including U.S. Postal Service employees.
“We’ve got to deal with budget realities, and while we have good federal workers, we have too many of them,” he told Roll Call.

Remember the time when just using the Prezzy's or Prezzy-elects last name was racist and phobic and a sign of disrespect.
Good times my friends good times.
I would fire everybody and start over but that's just me.
I'm sure the undersecretary to the undersecretary of undersecretaries to the secretary will disagree in triplicate but he's not in my organizational chart.
So I don't give a fuck.
I'm in the Asst. undersecretary to undersecretary of undersecretaries to the secretary organizational hierarchy so his caterwauling about how his job is vital to the well being of the republic will fall on deaf ears in my department.
I predict a raft of stories about the effects this will have on the chillruns and other assorted parasites.
Me I hope they get it hard and nasty.
They all deserve what they are about to get if they get it.
I predict a cave by the dead elephant party it's what they do unless it's something about abortion or going to war.
That is all.

Or in other words pointing out the obvious.

Monkey incident sparks clashes in southern Libya town of Sabha,16 dead

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - At least 16 people died and 50 were wounded in Libya in four days of clashes between rival factions in the southern city of Sabha, a health official said on Sunday.
According to residents and local reports, the latest bout of violence erupted between two tribes after an incident in which a monkey that belonged to a shopkeeper from the Gaddadfa tribe attacked a group of schoolgirls who were passing by.
The monkey pulled off one of the girls' head scarf, leading men from the Awlad Suleiman tribe to retaliate by killing three people from the Gaddadfa tribe as well as the monkey, according to a resident who spoke to Reuters.
City officials could not be reached to confirm the accounts.
"There was an escalation on the second and third days with the use of tanks, mortars and other heavy weapons," the resident told Reuters by telephone, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the denigrating security situation.

Of course it did my first instinct is to kill everybody breathing too.
When you have no country you only have tribes.
You know what tribes do?
Kill other tribal motherfuckers.Why?
Cuz that's what tribes do.
We will find out when all the slash-american tribes finally go hot.
There's a reason they call it going medieval on your ass.
Tribes will draw and quarter your ass then light you on fire after doing some really nasty shit to you believe it.
Also notice the end of the last sentence written by a college graduate I'm sure.
Must've went to one of those for profit schools.
